greenhouse plants

Peppers are up. A whole row of tables are full of peppers. Anyone need peppers when they arrive?

Broccoli seed was planted Thursday and started poking it's leaves out today (Monday) Much more broccoli to be planted throughout the season

 Peppers starting to take off.
Celery is looking good. Hope it decides to grow this year.
On the right are onions that are up strong. Center are flats of leaf lettuce that will be ready to be cut soon. The orange tubes that are hanging down are tubes for radiant heat on the tables.
 Green leaf lettuce closer up
Romaine lettuce. That sounds good for lunch tomorrow!

Looks like transplanting the fennel will go much more smoothly this year.

Fun in the Greenhouse

Hello everyone! Here are some snap-shots of what we have been up to.

Open flats ready to plant onions in. (right and below) Beth is planting some leaf lettuce.

Lots of Baby onion plants

lettuce that beth planted.

We added more tubes to the tables so that we have more even heat for better germination.

the next few photos are some landscape shots from around the farm.

We have the frame of the cold frame up. We will be working on this more as it warms up. Stay posted for more photos from the farm. Next week we will be planting peppers, eggplant, tomatoes for the cold frame, head lettuce, kohlrabi, chard, cabbage, Brussel sprouts, dill, oregano, parsley, and Bok choy. This week marks the beginning of our succession plantings. From this week forward, we will be planting something every week until the 15th of September.
I will be attending a CSA fair in Winona, MN to get more members to sign up for my CSA. If you are interested in getting a CSA share, visit my website at www.gitsfresh.com to get more information.
