Fun in the sun

On Friday I got to spend a good portion of the day roto tilling. it is actually a task I really enjoy because I get to sit still for a while and reflect on what has been going on at my farm and in my life. I also got to plant a few Parsnips with my new planter, it didn't go to bad except that it was really windy and the seed wasn't all ending up where it was suspose to but at least I got some of planted before we got this much needed rain. Saturday I worked on catching up on book work for my organic certification which is a never ending task but well worth the effort because it helps me keep track of what I have been up to so that I can do a better job of planing in years to come. I also got to work on setting up my new transplanter that came from Michigan on the 14th of April so that the rows matched up with what I have every thing else set at. Hopefully the ground will dry out enough this week so that I can keep planting, but I'm not holding my breath on it because the weather map depicts that it is looking like a wet week. looks like a good week to get things ready to go!
